DO NOT DRY CLEAN

If your Wearable becomes soiled, the handwoven fabric is delicate so needs to be handled carefully.

Hand wash in tepid water with a gentle soap or detergent suitable for silk.

Lightly agitate with your fingertips & try not to tangle long fringes.

Squeeze the excess water from the fabric and repeat in fresh tepid water to rinse.

Squeeze the fabric gently by hand, lay on a clean towel (the woven piece may be folded so it fits);  roll the towel & gently squeeze to remove excess water.

Lay flat to dry. If the piece has fringes – it is best to drape over a drying rack or a hanger, with the fringes hanging straight.  Straighten out and untangle the fringes by gently separating the threads with a long knitting needle (or similar) before it is left to dry.

If the fabric needs to be ironed (usually not necessary) use the silk setting and iron through a clean cotton cloth.
